The 2025 Venture Connect accelerator programme starts on 19 February. Hosted by the Port of Tyne’s 2050 Innovation Hub in collaboration with the London Stock Exchange and Scale Up Britain, this fully funded programme supports North East entrepreneurs working on green innovations for the maritime and logistics sectors.

This is an exciting area for innovation across a number of areas in which the region has strong offerings and local cyber security companies are encouraged to get engaged.

With cyber security playing an increasingly critical role in these industries, particularly as they adopt new technologies and digital solutions, CyberNorth members could both contribute to and benefit from the programme.

Why Venture Connect is relevant to CyberNorth members:

  1. Industry Applications and Growth
Members working on cybersecurity solutions can explore their applications in maritime and logistics, an industry facing significant challenges in securing complex supply chains and emerging technologies. Opportunities to meet influencers and target customers in the sector.
  2. Networking and Industry Exposure
The programme provides a platform to engage directly with industry leaders, innovators, and investors, offering opportunities to showcase cybersecurity solutions and forge meaningful collaborations.
  3. Insights into Future Needs
Participants gain exposure to the specific cybersecurity challenges and trends within these sectors, helping align solutions to evolving industry needs.
