Working alongside the Head of Risk & Assurance, the Risk and Assurance Manager plays an instrumental role in ensuring that Pulsant is a well-run, safe and secure business by supporting the operation of our ISO accredited Integrated Management system.  This covers Quality, Environment, Energy Management, Information and Data Security, Health & Safety, the company risk management framework and overall compliance management.

This role will carry out legislative & regulatory compliance checks, including Health and Safety, and internal audits. It will also support external audits, be active in the development of controls to ensure our business is run well and will support the business in the risk management process.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Risk and Assurance in the operation of the ISO standard Integrated Management System and compliance programme to drive a well-run business.
  • Identify legislation changes impacting Pulsant and support subsequent business compliance
  • Support internal and external audit cycles for Quality, Environmental, Energy Management, Information Security, Data Protection and Health & Safety standards and client assurance audits.
  • Play an active role in the delivery of the company’s Health and Safety management system including risk assessments, training. policy development, monitoring and reporting and providing guidance and advice.
  • Support process development, improvement and management of Quality, Data Protection, Information Security and Health & Safety aspects in line with company policy, applicable standards and best practice.
  • Support risk owners across the business units and functions to actively identify, assess and capture key risks and risk management activities within the risk register, reflecting changes resulting from business initiatives and the external environment.
  • Assist with the provision of appropriate guidance and support for Pulsant internal teams, including for complex client enquiries and assurance requirements.
  • Support programs for employee awareness training around compliance and controls.
  • Ensure that management system and policy documentation is accurate and current.
  • Collate and produce reports of team and business KPIs
