Job Summary

We are seeking a diligent and analytical Researcher to join our information security team. The Researcher will conduct studies on governance, risk, and compliance matters related to cybersecurity and emerging technologies like quantum key distribution. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of information security through cutting-edge research.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth research on cybersecurity governance, risk assessment models, regulatory compliance, with regards to QKD (Quantum Key Distribution).
  • Investigate the governance, risk, compliance implications of new technologies like quantum cryptography.
  • Synthesise complex research findings into actionable insights, frameworks, and recommendations.
  • Present research conclusions to leadership through written reports and presentations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional product and engineering teams to inform system designs.
  • Remain current on cyber threats, infosec advancements, and industry trends.
  • Contribute technical expertise to thought leadership content and media outreach.

Requirements

  • Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years in Governance Risk and Compliance.
  • Expertise in areas like cryptography, network security, and governance is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GRC tools and security standards (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Passion for cutting-edge technology and security research.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of quantum computing and post-quantum cryptography.
  • Publication record in peer-reviewed cybersecurity journals (desirable).
  • Industry certifications (desirable).
