Cyber Security SME training

Small and medium businesses are increasingly targeted by cyber attacks, but most don’t have in-house security teams.

As part of the CyberLocal project, CyberShip, run by Newcastle University and CyberNorth and funded by Innovate UK, we’re running a series of free, practical cyber security workshops at Newcastle University, focused on Cyber Essentials, real-world attacks, and the simple controls that make a big difference.

What you’ll get:

  • Live demonstrations of common attacks and how they work
  • How these map onto best-practice guidance, e.g., Cyber Essentials
  • Clear, practical steps you can take back to your organisation
  • Time for Q&A about your concerns

Who is it for?
Owners, directors, IT leads, and anyone in an SME who has to “look after the computers” alongside everything else. No prior security expertise is assumed.
