How is it May already!? We are super busy here at CyberNorth so the year is feels like it is flying by. But we are never too busy for our CyberNorth network and we’d love to hear what you are up to – reach out and connect with us on social and tell us about your projects, work, news – anything and everything via @north_biz on Twitter.
The busyness is set to continue for CyberNorth with three major events to look forward to over the summer and into the autumn; we’d love you to join us.
#1 Dynamo Conference
The annual Dynamo conference is back for 2022 over two days, virtual on 21 June and in person on 22 June. We’re planning two sessions on ‘Why innovation is important in cyber security’ and ‘Digital for authentic audience connection in the arts.’
In the second session find out how CyberNorth is using art to engage audiences better with cyber security while Southpaw Dance Company and Kielder Observatory are using digital technologies to connect with audiences in new ways.
Tickets can be found here.
#2 Innovation Festival
We’re very excited to be sponsoring, in conjunction with UKC3, a four-day cyber security strand at this year’s internationally acclaimed Northumbrian Water Group Innovation Festival #IF2022. The festival will be held on 12-15 July, at Gosforth Park Racecourse, with daily sprints to address live issues in the cyber security sector:
- Embedding innovation in the cyber security sector – 12 July
- Bringing talent into cyber security – 13 July
- Business impacts of cyber incidents – 14 July
Each dash will follow a similar format with the morning given over to the definition and breakdown of the issue and the afternoon geared towards possible solutions to the identified issues.
The dashes are arranged so that you can attend one or more, depending upon your interest and we’re keen to have attendees with diverse skills and experiences, not just from the cyber security sector. You can register interest for the festival on the NWG website.
