The following has been written by CyberNorth member organisation, CyberInova. A new player in the market looking to engage the local community in cyber security.

Is Cybersecurity your nightmare ?  Here is an opportunity to be an Early Adopter of an Advanced and Unique Cyber Security Business Solution

CyberInova is proud to announce a three-month project focused on the development and Proof of Concept (POC) of our innovative Zero Trust Network solution. This initiative aims to provide a hands-on experience for individuals from underrepresented demographics in our local community, engaging them in cutting-edge cybersecurity development.

Our Zero Trust Network solution is built around microsegmentation and zero-touch configuration, allowing organisations to adopt a security overlay that requires no hardware installation. This approach ensures security policies are enforced at the granular level, limiting access to sensitive data and applications only to those who need it, thereby minimising the attack surface.

By eliminating the need for traditional hardware solutions, Cyberinova’s Zero Trust solution allows for faster, more efficient deployment across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. The system is designed to be seamless and scalable, integrating with existing IT infrastructures without disrupting operations.

Participants in this project will have the opportunity to work directly with Cyberinova and gain hands-on experience with our Zero Trust security models. They will participate in workshops, benefit from mentorship with industry experts, and engage in real-world problem-solving tasks. This comprehensive approach will give them a deep understanding of how cutting-edge microsegmentation technologies and security overlays can be applied to modern networks.

We are looking to find a partner that want join us on this journey.

Any company that want learn more about Cybersecurity to understand the criticality can participate.

We would like to test our solution on a small scale (15 nodes) up to 200 more nodes.

The best option would be a manufacturing company that also has people on smart-working.

Expected Impact in the Area

This initiative is designed to drive positive change across several critical areas:

  • Upskilling Underrepresented Demographics: The project will actively involve individuals from underrepresented communities to help reduce the cybersecurity skills gap and promote greater diversity in the cybersecurity workforce.
  • Strengthening the Local Cybersecurity Sector: This project will foster collaboration and strengthen the local cybersecurity ecosystem through partnerships between Cyberinova, local academia, and public sector organisations.
  • Supporting Innovative Cybersecurity Ecosystems: Developing a robust Zero Trust Network solution will further enhance the cybersecurity posture of our region by advancing innovative security practices like microsegmentation and software-based security overlays that address today’s most pressing security challenges.

Upon completing this program, participants will not only emerge with marketable skills but also valuable mentorship and networking opportunities. These will open doors to diverse and rewarding career paths in the cybersecurity sector, further promoting diversity and inclusion in the field.

This project represents a key opportunity to contribute to the future of cybersecurity while empowering individuals from underrepresented demographics to be part of this exciting and evolving field.
